Introduction:

The raw material of FBE coating is made of solid epoxy resin, curing agent and many auxiliary agents through mixing and grinding, which is thermosetting material.During the hot compress, the steel tube shall be heated to 220-230c first, and epoxy powder shall be sprayed on the surface of the steel tube by electrostatic adsorption method. 
FBE is "FUSION BOND EPOXY" for fusion bonded epoxy. FBE coatings are available in single and double layers. The so-called FBE coating generally refers to a single layer sintered epoxy coating. The single layer FBE coating uses a special fusion bonded epoxy powder coating as the film forming material. This epoxy powder coating is a thermosetting coating which is prepared by mixing and pulverizing solid epoxy resin, curing agent and various additives. The steel pipe is subjected to shot blasting and intermediate frequency preheating before painting, and the epoxy powder coating is sprayed on the surface of the heated steel pipe by electrostatic spraying, and is melted and bonded on the surface of the steel pipe to form a coating. The FBE coating is generally a one-time film-forming structure with a film thickness of 300 to 500 μm. FBE coatings have the advantages of strong adhesion to steel, good film integrity, resistance to cathodic disbondment, resistance to soil stress and abrasion resistance, but poor resistance to mechanical damage and heat and humidity resistance. The FBE coating can be used for external corrosion protection of steel buried pipelines or underwater pipeline installations operating at temperatures between -30 and 100 degrees Celsius.
